Praying for County 018 Nyandarua
Governor: Dr Kiarie Badilisha
The County is divided into five Sub-Counties (constituencies) namely Kinangop, Kipipiri, Ol’Kalou, Ol’Joro Orok and Ndaragwa.
Vision: A productive, prosperous, secure and a newly industrialised county that adds value to its citizens and competes effectively in the 21st Century.
Mission: To transform the lives of the people to sustainable levels of development through the provision of an enabling social, economic and political environment.
Challenges: Poor infrastructure, high poverty level. The is need to continuously maintain access roads leading to public institutions so as to ease the movement of people, goods and services, fast-tracking establishment of a health centre in the area, and the need for tittle deeds -several public institutions, Churches and schools have not been able to process their tittle deeds.
Points of Prayer
1. God’s guidance - Nyandarua will turn to God and follow His precepts - Psalms
19:8 “the precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes”
2. Pray for godly leadership who will steer the County to Infrastructural
Development – Isa 66:8 “Who has ever heard of such things? Who has ever seen things like this? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment? Yet no sooner is Zion in labor than she gives birth to her children”
3. God’s deliverance from Poverty - Deuteronomy 15:4-5 “However, there need be no poor people among you, for in the land the LORD your God is giving you to possess as your inheritance, he will richly bless you, if only you fully obey the LORD your God and are careful to follow all these commands I am giving you today”.
4. That the County people will seek wisdom from God & not depend on human
strength – Prov 3:5-7 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight, Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil”
5. There will be abundance of rain and harvest. No spoilt cash crop - Leviticus 26:5 “Your threshing will continue until grape harvest and the grape harvest will continue until planting, and you will eat all the food you want and live in safety in your land”
